Chipped Ice

Put all into a shaker, and mix thoroughly. Strain into a 12-ounce glass, and fill with soda water, drawing small stream. Dust some nutmeg over the top of the glass. Sells like hot cakes.

Catawba Punch.

I ounce I I ounce A sufficient quantity One ounce Catawba syrup, 2 ounces sweet cream, a dash of rum or angostura bitters. Stir while filling with hot soda. Serve grated cinnamon. Catawba Punch.

One ounce lemon syrup, juice of 1½ lemon, 2 ounces Catawba wine, 14 glass shaved ice. Mix in 14-ounce straight lemonade glass. Decorate with pineapple and cherries.

Catawba Syrup.

Three and one-half quarts of simple syrup, I pint of Catawba wine, 2 ounces of soda foam, 1/2 ounce of citric acid solution. Color red. Celery Cocoa Cream.

One ounce chocolate paste, 1 ounce cream, 4 dashes essence of celery. Stir while filling up with hot soda. Top off with whipped cream and serve with celery salt.
