The most fattening of all our foods are the oils.
Consequently, those who are trying to gain weight may make free use of butter, corn oil, cotton seed oil or olive oil. The various oils may be used in dressings such as mayonnaise, if that is desired.
Oil may be used to dress both fruits and vegetables and some even eat it with their bread or other starchy foods.
