Menus for Gaining Weight with Meat—Summer: Introduction
We wish to call your especial attention to some points which bear repetition.
The menus given for increasing weight are not appropriate in other circumstances. They are not strictly balanced because in gaining weight, a person is overeating somewhat. Those who follow these menus without any need of gaining weight, will consequently be getting too much nourishing food. They will also be making combinations that are not right in other circumstances. What we mean to convey is, that these combinations are all right for gaining weight but not necessarily so otherwise.
We also wish to repeat that those who are too thin and ill should not try to work out their salvation by means of a menu book alone. They need the advice of an expert in health.
