Menus for Gaining Weight with Meat—Winter: Introduction

We wish to repeat that all combinations here given are not correct for other occasions because when a person is gaining weight, he is in truth overeating. This overeating should be continued only until the proper weight is attained.

Those who live entirely on fattening foods when they are gaining weight will almost surely be troubled with autointoxication. For this reason we have stressed both the cooked vegetables and the raw vegetables in these menus because they help to keep the blood in good condition.

Cream, butter, fatty meats, and oils are especially fattening. That is why these foods appear so often in this chapter. Butter may be used as dressing at any meal.
