Menus with Meat for Reducing—Summer: Introduction
Even people who eat meat habitually should partake of less of it in summer than in winter.
In warm weather pork should be tabu, especially for those who are reducing. Make it a rule to eat only lean meat during this season.
Also avoid fat fish while reducing. It is easy to tell the fish that is fat from the fish that is lean. Salmon and mackerel are examples of fat fish.
Even those who use meat frequently in winter should partake of it less frequently in summer.
Milk, or cheese, or eggs are good meat substitutes during the warm season.
